Y!Gallery is trying to get their support ticket on Twitter resolved!

You can help by doing the following:

1. Go to twitter.com.
2. Sign in or make an account.
3. Go to: https://twitter.com/#!/Support
4. See the box that says, "Tweet to Support"? Type the following in that box (you can copy/paste)

@Support Please resolve help ticket number 4691783 to resolve the hacked Y!Gallery Twitter account. Any help appreciated. Thank you!

I recently emailed a moderator inquiring as to the status of our favorite safe-haven for beautiful men and the fan girls and boys who adore them.

I received a very prompt and exceptionally kind reply, which I will share with you.

Thank you so much for your offer and for your support. We just can't thank you enough. As you may have read on our main page, our Twitter was hacked, but we're working with Twitter now to try to get our account back so that we can continue to make updates there. Until then, we'll be continuing to update on our main page.

Our techs had a list they were working through:

1. Upgrade new server from Ubuntu 10.04 to 10.10, then to 11.04 (and possibly to 11.10)
2. Install new software
3. Configure new software
4. Test the site
5. Change the DNS to new server

They are currently on points #4 and 5, and trying to work out the bugs that they've been finding. We are very pleased to say that all the artwork and accounts are still intact and that we lost no data. Our techs do work 50+ hour jobs in real life, but they are working during what free time they have to try and get the site up as quickly as possible.

Our head system tech admin has just recently put a notice up on our updates page - http://yaoi.y-gallery.net/ requesting assistance from any other systems admins so that we can get things back up quicker. If you would like to pass along that information though your network, we would be very appreciative, since it could very well help us find someone to aid us.

Again, thank you so much. It makes all of us on staff feel so much better when we know we have such great members that support us and are willing to help us out. I'll definitely keep in touch with you when I have new information, and feel free to message me anytime if you have any more questions, or just want to check in.

One can! Basically, you're just pinging the support Twitter to please, please resolve the open Y!Gallery ticket.

...now, granted, that's assuming my basic understanding of Twitter and so forth is accurate, but to the best of my (perhaps scrambled but typically reasonable) knowledge, you can tweet support privately.

Hi there! I'm Darkprism just about everywhere, and I'm familiar with you from Y!. I think I follow you, there. *smiles* And I've seen your posts around Tumblr, I believe.

As for the "Point" and the Moron of the Month...

I imagine it was:

A)Someone proving they could hack something and hold it up.

B)Someone proving that the Internet would be better without Y!

C)Someone proving that IF the Twitter feed was hacked, people WOULD, actually, care about it and still try to get Y!Gallery online/ask for Twitter to come back/etc.

Speculation probably paves more ways to hell than good intentions, and I imagine the "point" will only ever be known to the person who did it and to the people/person to whom they were trying to prove it. Otherwise, the person would have been tweeting until their eyeballs bled while they had "possession" of the account.

Anyway, don't know a thing, but those are my leanings in the misguided logic.
